I'm trying to make a few existing ANI files move faster. One of them is 59 frames and processes at 26 frames. I would like to get that up to 59 or higher, as my plans for it require it to be faster. I have ANIBUILDER32...but when I put in a different framerate, there is no change.

Your pc just may not be able to handle it

ANI playback is also dependant on frame rate. It's locked at 120 and lower in game and around 60 on interface screens if I remember correctly (maybe 30 on the interface). So, you'll never get the ani faster than that.
-
I guess I'll have to settle for deleting frames then...since the last 40 frames are nearly identicle repeats of the first 20.
-
well, yeah, they have to be nearly similar, otherwise you get really crappy animation effects, like you're losing FPS or something.

It's a format used for various animations in the game.

An Animation, like the animated mice cursors you see on the screen, or the briefing videos you see in Freespace 2 Comman Briefings. :) (since Windows uses .ani formats for the mice, but Descent viewer won't view them. :nervous: )
