Title: FYI: Project Management vs Project Ownership

I've encountered a few instances were it has become apparent that people think these are synonyms

they're not

I Still own the FreeSpace Forever project - it's my idea, it's going to be hosted under my accounts, ie sourceforge and other places - Project Owner can make decisions, and expects no arguement, though I'm trying to refrain from that


Project Management is the more day-to-day/task-to-task things.  That you normally think of.


Those people out there that have been helping, all the help is appreciated, but please remember - it is my project, you do need to ask before you do things - and that will go for the managers, OK things by me before you change them.

This isn't needed, post it in one of the other threads if you have to post it at all. Additionally I don't think your previous track record of project management is a particularly shining one... and I'm very worried about the whole "do what you like, your help is appreciated but consult me first" approach. If this is how things are going to go then I garuntee that this will not work.
