I finally got my mic working. I'm already getting some ideas for some mission scripts that I can now do since I can handle sound; here's a sample. :)

It's MP3-encoded for size. Enjoy. ;)

Oh, that reminds me... I have some people who I promised to offer to once I could get the mic working. ;)

Hmm... lets just say I wouldn't want to run into a guy with a voice like that late in the evening (unless it's render-gifted Tang-loving meat product). I LIKE IT!!! :D

Yeh thats very true... I hate mine..but of course so does darkage(but thats not saying much of course).
Its just that as a person, you hear your own voice different while you're talking, but when you listen to it recorded, it sounds different; not as 'good'.
You got a vry good mic Setekh... mine always has some fuzz when i record anything, it suxors.

You have a very heavy voice and since you have a CRAPY mic:p it sounds just weird... Not that my voice sounds so great in fact i hate my own voice when recorded or something by a cam/mic.....

haha... thats what you get from Microsoft products eh? I'm asking for a new headset for my B-day(this one is busted, no sound comes out the left side[_very_ bad for gaming and listening to music])

Yeah, you're voice sounds a bit weird to me too, but thats mostly because I haven't heard an accent like yours in a _long_ time. But you shouldn't hate it, its good for a dutch *******. (oh wait i've got a dutch background too...crap)
-
I must be one of a few people who actually likes the sound of my own voice  ;7
-
How much effort did you put into covering your accent, Steak, or is it really that faint? On second thought, that's an odd question. You probably don't hear it. Anyway, your accent is much less pronounced than my wife's (of course she's from Adelaide), or any of my Sydney-side friends.
-
Sweet holy hell, you sound almost exactly like a friend of mine..
-
N1ce... but I thought those beeping and static sounds were for FS1 soundfiles?
-
setekh, your voice is fine. i _like_ your voice.
everyone hates their own voice. i hate my own voice- and you know what i sound like.
(well, fine, everyone except blue lion, but he's... hm.:p)
-
Mik? Well, you must know, I don't have much of an accent at all. I'm more Chinese than I am Australian - I probably don't possess much of an accent in anything (though I could probably mask my voice to be American, Aussie, whatever). :)
DC, I had a bit of static to begin with, but a little work in Goldwave fixed that. ;)

Yeah, they are, but I figured they sounded better with than without, so...

My voice seems to sound okay in real life, but it somehow sounds distorted over a recording (probably just me :p). It works well for vasudan voice files though. :D

Hey, that's acttually pretty good for voice acting, Steak!

:D:ha:
With the mechanize effect added in, it's hard to tell a "good" voice from a sucky one, so it works out. :D
-
Voice is quite... mature for ur age... but it's nice :D
-
Hey Darkage, now that he has a mic....think we could get him in an IParty? :D
-
yeah, and it's sort of not what i expected. at least not from a guy with "Woo" as a last name.

crikes! This bugga will bite me ahm off

Well, my own voice is ok, but its quite dull, and not that magnificent. However, I can do a pritty mean Southern accent, sports announcer, perfect Finnish accent, and Russian accent. Working on my Irish, and got my Scotish done pritty well. They work great at parties when yer drunk! :D ;)
-
For some reason my voice is undetectable by the human ear. I can talk for ages and no-one will notice. I can shout and **** and still not be heard. It's frequently a problem but it allows some benefits in that I can implant subliminaly messages in peoples heads without them even noticing I was there. I suppose you could say I have a hypnotic voice. :drevil:
-
Funny, me and my friend are like that.

You should hear my buddy Weizhuang "John" Yein. He's half Taiwanese, half mainland. You'd never believe he was chinese hearing his voice, and he grew up in Taiwan. didn't learn english till two years before he joined the US Navy (he was born here). Very groovy guy.
