In FSTGW:
The Bastion is supposedly an Orion, so why is there no superstructure in the main hall out side the hanger?
And in the boarding party movie, why is the Taranis an Azriel freighter?
Who here agrees. :ha:

Its called perspective, your looking out away from the hull of the craft
Its not the Taranis, the Tar was destroyed along with the station it was docked at. This was a newly captured freighter
and that answers that

ooo I was actually wrong
the Shivan vessel Azrael, is within GTVA Classifications of a Transport ship, not a freighter.:blah:

Didnt it say Freighter in the cutscene?

Having just seen that cutscene, I believe it did.
-
Maybe at that point they didn't know what it was used for yet?
-
That's quite possible. I think the GTVA was more concerned with fighting the Shivans than determining whether or not their ships were Freighters or Transports :).

Probably for the same reason ships in Star Trek don't have the same bridge design. Designs get updated as ships are built, thus the difference.

A freighter's also going to have less crew so there will be less resistance to the boarding operation as compared to a cruiser.

What i mean to say is that if it were an orion, the hercs would collide with the bow...
