I, personally, think they kick ass.
What say you?
-
Well, their old stuff kicks ass, the new stuff is like most new music.....bleh
Black Sunday and Temple of Boom are the best albums
-
cypress hill....
-
Lowrider and Rock Superstar are possibly the only songs you can have blasting out of your car without looking like a total wanker.
As for the new stuff.....What's Your Number is pretty good, but I ain't heard much from their latest album (****ing faulty tracker).
-
It would be awesome if Cypress Hill, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, and Peter Frampton all did a traveling rock festival together! they could bring the London Symphony Orcestra, and a giant inflatable pig!
-
No, I wasn't watching The Simpsons.
I was listening to Rock Superstar.
-
old stuff is good, spec the first album, new stuff is meh
-
****e
-
old skool hill is de funk.
-
[color=66ff00]Their vibe is good but I really don't like the singer/rapper's voice, it's fingernails on blackboard material to me.
Still you have to admire a band that throws foot long blunts into the crowd.

I don't care what anyone says, this one is P.I.M.P. I'd definitely cruise in this one.
-
not on the roads round here you wouldnt.
-
Well said, or in England. You'd shatter the lower bodywork on the road "calming measures" (speed bumps).
-
It's on hydros, you'd just lift that ***** up.
-
Fair enough then, but I'd rather have a Bentley Hunaudieres ;)
-
I saw Cypress Hill before they were famous, at Wembley Arena. They were supporting the Dan Reed Network, an extremely poor, camp 80's rock group. The Hill were the best support band there, and they ended with a tune they said 'you might be hearing a lot of'.. It was called 'Eat my Goal' ;)
Then Dan Reed came on and I remembered how much they sucked and how badly I needed to realign my then girlfriends' musical tastes ;)

I meant I'd stone him off the road.
-
That thing is fugly.
I'd rather spend that much money on a Corvette or Porsche.
..and Cypress Hill are ****ing hilarious.
-
pecan is my favorite, but I like apple and pumpkin.
pie that is.

LOLOL
naaa, that escalade's on bags. you can raise it up ;)
and besides, an escalade like that's not a daily driver. it's just for going to shows and stuff. i'll bet it has at least 8 screens inside.

Can u imagine the system in that *****?
Speaking of which, Stealth, I'm going to this on Saturday
www.furiousnights.com
I know, I know... it sucks having the name Fast and the Furious, but it's gonna be a tight show. I'm gonna take pictures.
-
yeah, i've installed some high-end systems, like the one i'm sure that escalade has ;) woooooo
i've currently got two 15s, running off a 1000D memphis amp. a 300W (75x4 @ 4 ohm) memphis amp pushing my mids/highs (two 6x9s, two 4x6s, two 6.5" components, memphis all around), a 1.25 Farad stinger capacitor, yellow-top battery, 200 amp isolator, 140AMP alternator. however i'm getting rid of my 15s (want to buy them? lol) and i'm getting probably one 15 or one 18...
yeah that show looks badass man, be SURE to take pictures. the last car show i went to was almost a month ago, the biggest classic car show in Houston, over $85million worth of cars and a few boats. it was great. i've been to too many lowrider shows in my life :p i haven't really been to any mostly imported car show.
-
i dunno though, lowriders have always appealed to me though, i don't know why.
-
As long as they look tight, I don't cry. I'm into all kind of cars, something that my girl doesn't understand. She'll see me oogle a '68 camaro SS and then wonder why I also oooo and aaaaah a dropped caddy.
I personally wouldn't put hydro's in a car but if the car is well maintained and looks nice, I give the guy props. I'm more into performance for my own bag. This was my old baby, got it into the 14's in the qtr mile til it got into 2 accidents:
(http://www.penguinbomb.com/j3vr6/Jetta - 1.jpg)
Besides that, it had two Kicker 10's pushed from a Fosgate amp. I was no way near finished with the car... But it just wasn't the same after the accidents (not my fault).
-
They suck uncut dirty yiffy horsecocks, but to a lesser degree than most other bands.
I still don't like them.

 Heehee! Do these people realise that their cars are broken? j/k
Anyhoo, I hate American cars. There isn't one single nice one. (OK, the GT40 is cool, but it's a Ford :ick: ). I want a McLaren SLR....
Cypress Hill are.... bleh. Never really listened to them properly. My main experience of them is on the Kingpin soundtrack, and that was kinda spoiled by it being a pile of crap....
-
There's a 6-wheel Lincoln that's pretty sweet.

yeah i'm the same way man. i see a nice sports car (old or new) go by and it always turns my head. on the same note, if i see a lowrider go by i'll always look too :p
well people only put hydros on the car nowdays just for fun. it's not practical, by any means. all my friends with hyraulics, whether it's a 1 pump cheap setup or a 4 pump competition setup, it hurts riding with them! you feel everything that the tires feel, every little bump on the road! and expensive accumulators don't really help much either ;) I would put BAGS on my car though, now that's something that's a lot more widely accepted than it was 10 years ago. and bags are a lot easier to maintain, and a lot more comfortable too. in fact i'm planning on bagging my car this summer :thepimp:
pyro-manic: you talk sh1t about them, but you know if you ever saw a car coming behind you and suddenly hop the front end two feet off the ground your head would turn! that's the purpose of them, to look cool and draw attention :thepimp:
since you posted a picture of your car, here's mine:
i'm soon going to be the proud owner of a mitsubishi 3000GT also. as my 'college' car. still saving up for it though ;)
EDIT:
an0n: i've never seen a picture of it. you wouldn't have one, would you? i would love to see what it looks like.
-
Theyre supposedly dangerous to drive at highway speeds.. something to do with the size of the tires...
-

yeah thing is we're talking about our cars... not cars we wish and dream we had..........
-
With the amount of money you spend on a lowrider, you probably could afford something like a Porsche or Ferrari....
-
or a Tiger Tank...
-
I've always wanted a halftrack
-
I recall seeing a ww2 hanomag in some brit car mag for 7 grand, had a dalmier in it for 5 as well.
edit: I believe it was actually an ot810, seen here:

and you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
-
Stand down man, everyone can have an opinion - no need to be arrogant.
As an aside, there's an American APC (WW2 era half-track) about 7 houses away from mine in a garage along with a military hospital car and a few other things. It even has a (deactivated) Browning gun.
-
if you're talking about what i said to you, it's because you were derailing our already derailed topic  :p
if you're talking about Thorn's ignorant statement: that's not an opinion, he made a statement, which i would be more than happy to prove wrong. blatantly wrong.
-
I'd worry about derailing it... but everyone here snatched up the new train of thought - including you. No need to comment to me about it when you jump so readily on the bandwagon, sheep :p
I was talking about Thorns, and your arrogance is unneeded. I don't think it's that hard a concept to grasp. Still, it must make you feel important.
I still don't think that there's much need to make a car hop two feet off the ground. Ever. It's not cool, it's silly.

fake european plates. It reads:
VR6: powerplant of the Jetta
A3: Bodystyle version. A3 means that it is the 3rd iteration/version of the Jetta
2.8: The size of the engine in liters.
What you can't see are the little european tag stickers between the VR6 and the A3.
And, it doesn't really cost 150k to have a lowrider, so you wouldn't be able to buy a ferrari for the amount of money you spend on a lowrider. Could u end up spending a lot on fixing up a car? Hell yeah, but that's part of the point: You actually spending time and effort on a car making it personal, in the style you want, with a statement you want made. A car no longer becomes something that takes you from Point A to Point B, but a personal statement about yourself.
That's why I think someone who actually works on their car and mods it usually appreciate their car more than someone who just buys it off the lot.

True, it'd attract my attention all right, but I'd be thinking "What the f***'s wrong with that bloke's car? It shouldn't be doing that!" :D Just my opinion, though - it doesn't bother me that people do that kinda stuff to cars, but I wouldn't do it meself. I'm not really into cars (can't even drive yet) - I spend my money on music and guitars :)
J3Vr6: A 2.8? Bloody hell. I didn't think VW put engines that big in the Jetta. Or was it a mod?
-
2.8 is stock for the Vr6. It pushes 174 horsies stock. Mine was up to about ~210-220 before the accident.
-
'kin hell. Not bad.... :D

You can get a Ferreri for a lot less than 150k.
I never said anything about it being new.

OK, and can you get a Ferrari for under $20k? because i know many people that have competition grade setups, candy paint, chromed out engine compartments and undercarriage, wrapped frame, interior upholstery done, the works, and have spent well under $20k. oh but wait, very old Ferraris you probably can get for under 20k  OK, so what was your point again? That lowriders aren't worth it because they're so expensive? heh.
I was talking about Thorns, and your arrogance is unneeded. I don't think it's that hard a concept to grasp. Still, it must make you feel important.
Well what else could i have said in reply to his blatantly wrong statement? OK perhaps i could've said:
"Now thornsy, what you just said isn't completely right, so let's go over it, so i can explain to you where your logic is flawed" but i chose not to, because i don't like him. if it was someone else, i probably would've just corrected him. you can call my reply arrogant *shrugs*... but it was an arrogant reply to an ignorant statement
I still don't think that there's much need to make a car hop two feet off the ground. Ever. It's not cool, it's silly.
And is there a need to spend $400K+ on a car that can hit 220 miles per hour, when the most you'll probably EVER drive it is 100mph on the highway? Of course not. Yet you still are attracted to exotic, expensive sports cars (such as the one you posted earlier) are you not?
Well so am i :p, but not all lowriders can 'hop' ;) In fact not many can. 99% of "lowriders" can only raise and lower each side, which, you have to admit, is pretty cool... being able to park the car, and let the whole car just 'lay frame' ;) At least i think it is. "Lowriders" by definition can adjust their suspension, to ride 'low', high, etc. Circus Hoppers are what the cars that bounce a foot in the air, bounce the front end, etc. are called, and they're usually more expensive because you have to reinforce the entire frame.
-
Ok, maybe not a Ferrari, but you can get a relatively new Porsche for under 20k. Canadian. Working.

Stealth, if you can't post in a thread without being unpleasent about other forum members then you doom the thread to lockage. I advise you not to make a habbit of it - keep your issues with people to yourself (and that goes for everyone).
I don't want to keep locking threads as a result of this kind of thing, it's far easier to ban. I've had a bad day anyway so I really won't hesitate. Please don't tempt me.
Locked.
