I think the eyes need to be a bit lower on the face, maybe a bit bigger as well although that's a style thing. The hair looks kinda flat as well (flat as in horizontally, not depth). The general shape is pretty good, I think the main thing is the eyes. They look a bit, hmm, angular.

Kewl, but can you post something to compare it to? All I can think of is the anthro type stuff you do, which isn't really good for comparisons. :)

it's pretty good

if you're looking for a general tut on drawing faces, found this one (http://www.portrait-artist.org/face/structure2.html) with a quick google.

basic rules are pretty simple. the eyes are at the exact half-way point on the head. draw a line through the middle of the head and that's where the eyes are. the bottom of the nose is half-way between the eyes and chin. and the mouth is about 1/3 the distance between the nose and chin.  these rules should probably be kept regardless of style just to make it look like a face.

regarding eye-size, that's completely a style thing. if you're going for realism, a good way to think of it is that you should be able to fit five eyes across on a human face.  -o-o-. if you're using a cartoon style, the eyes are slightly larger (especially on villians), and if you're doing anime, even larger.

the shading could use a little refinement, but hell, i've done worse.

The face is good, but it's a masculine face. Correct me if I'm wrong but your charachter seems to have breasts - if it didn't I'm sure it'd make quite a nice looking solider type man.

I don't really like the nose, but the rest seems good. Though she does look like it's the wrong time of the month to be taking pictures.

try putting the eyes at 50% to the top and bottom of the face. that's how they are IRL

also, here's an interesting bit of info: all attractive people's faces will line up with this thing

you should use it for proportions.

I love it. I would have pronounced her features a little more with the shading, but the more I look at it the more I like the subtle style you've approached it with. Beautiful. :)
