Closing that thread was stupid. We were having an argument. Perhaps you should let people work out their differences rather than jumping in and closing a thread where a lot of people are having fun posting in.
Anyway, since our resident retired admin insists that we keep it clean and orderly, let's continue it, with no arguments this time
Fine, but I locked it because you were openly insulting other forum members. I don't care if you like him or not - or if you don't like me or not. You keep it to yourself, everyone is happier that way. This thread can remain on the condition you keep personal insults out of it.
Stealth: Yeah, but i wasn't openly insulting him per-say. i just said his remark was ignorant, and stupid :p. but OK, i wont do it again. thanks

OK so i don't like the colors at all :ick: :ick: but he payed a fortune for it, so obviously he does :p

although that green car that Thunder posted looked badass. anyone have any more information on it?
-
bit of a waste of 7 grand, is it not?
-
personally: I think it is, yeah ;) particularly with that color :ick: he could've saved himself a good $3k leaving it original
but it's a lot cheaper than, as was mentioned, a ferrari, porsche, or even corvette, civic, etc. ;)

'tis a Bentley, I think. Dunno what model, but do a search for the new Bentley Continental GT. It's stunning...
-
thought it was by the headlights and logo, but i'd never seen anything like it before.
what do you think of that paint job! woooohoooooo :D
-
Stick a beak and wings on and it'd be a parrot! :D Though for $7000 (about £5000 to me) I suppose you can't go wrong, especially with all the gubbins it's got. You'd just have to paint it really quickly before it blinds you!
-
The paint job in that caddy wouldn't be my choice, but you have to admire the quality of the paintjob and the coordinating of colors. That guy has about 7 different layers of paint along with a gloss finish. And it looks perfectly maintained.
There was a guy who used to go to the races in a drrrroooooooppppppped hydo'd montecarlo. He'd roll up to it lifting each tire. It must have weighed a ton. He never raced, just hung out smoking and watched the races. Mind u, the races were filled with tricked out hondas, mustangs, acuras, supras.
Some kids started to make fun of his car cuz they were like, "what is he doing here? loser should be in the ghetto" etc etc. One of them who owned a 12 second mustang tried him thinking the guy was gonna get uncomfortable and leave.
Bro they lined up, the hands go down (of the girl starting the race), the tires lit up, and bye bye dropped montecarlo. It was a close race, but the montecarlo TOOK the mustang... dropping the bass like it was going out of style the entire time.
-
Heheh - cool. I really don't like the whole "fast and the furious"-style of car as a whole, so it's always good when some boy racer gets beaten . And the paint job is technically impressive - just a same it's such a nasty colour! I think it'd work really well in a very dark blue...
My personal tastes in cars run more to things like this:
The super-sexy Morgan Aero 8... I love classic and classically styled cars. See also classic Jags, the Lambo Miura and the MGC GT.
The Lancia 037 Rally - group B rocks! :D
(http://www.10thhussar.co.uk/Carrera%20GT.jpg)
The new Porsche Carrera GT. As a rule, I think Porsche cars are really ugly, but this one is beautiful.
-
yeah you can never tell these days. some cars are just sleepers, waiting to 0wn up some sh1t-talking kid. but yeah i've heard stories of those monte carlos.
a guy i know (well, i don't really know him, i know people that know him ;) ) did that to his far for that very reason. a LT1 supercharged corvette engine into his Lowrider Cadillac :eek2:
he's rich, he could afford it :p

I wish I was rich :( Most kids can fix up their cars cuz they don't have a mortgage or rent to pay *kicks a pebble and sighs*

*takes notes to restart locked threads in the future*

Meh, read my blue print. He has conditions to work by... the topic of conversation itself is not unsuitable. The insults are.
Moving on, the Bently I posted was a Bentley Hunaudieres. It's only a prototype but you can read a tad more about it here (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.mv?file=car.mv&num=47).
Oh... and that Porsche looks nice - but also like a Ferrari F50 (minus spoiler at the back, and a few other bits and pieces.. the general shape is the same).

*sticks hands deep in pockets, bows head, and kicks pebble*

can you hug me, stealth?

ummmmm
:p

Meh, the only thing I would want in a car, given that I can get a driving license without stereovision and therefore depth perception, would be legspace, headspace and fuel economy. That and a good safety rating.
My dad is getting a Renault Gran Espace as his next lease. The thing'll probably guzzle up fuel, but it's got a sunroof, great chairs, and plenty of space. And seperate airco in the back.
As for cars I think look good, Bently's are nice, and there are some Jags that look good.

what you need, my friend, is a new Volvo or Cadillac :D
-
Hey, I'm 16, let's see if I see enough to get a license before looking at a car.
And it would be most likely an old Volvo, looking at what I would be willing to spend.

Whaaaa?? Ferraris are the spawn of Satan. They're hideous, poserish things that scream "look at meeee, I'm a twat!". Heh, OK, normally I think the same about Porsche, but the GT is an exception. It actually has a spoiler, but it's one of those automatic thingies that deploys at high speeds. You can just see the edge of it in the picture. I really don't think it looks like a Ferrari though - look at some other pictures and see.
As for the Hunaudieres, sweet car, but silly name! No wonder it didn't get made... :D
Perhaps my favourite concept car of recent years - the Jaguar R Coupe:

*drools* Goes like stink, but Ford decided to make the Aston Martin DB7 GT-whatever-it-is variant instead. Fools! :hopping:

So, if I call Stealth a butt-pounder because his taste in cars sucks, does this thread close too? :D
