Freespacer ver. 0.3 is up at:

A request to any admin - please either delete/lock the following threads: Freespace PnP, Freespacer ver 0.2 and Freespacer Introduction.

I plan this to be the only active thread until the first completed (ver 1.0) handbook is out.

I've also started a new thread, because the Character creation is finally ready even if in a raw form.

Please check this out - I'm still interested in the list of skills you think should be elemental to living in the world of Freespace. Please try to think of categories that cover lots of activities.

I'm also open to any capship/ship/vechicle/battlesuit/mecha/firearm/weapon/anything else that could exist in the Freespace universe.

Ship to ship combat as is still not in development, but I'm already trying to come up with a fast-paced system.

I'm vacillating over putting in HPs (Healt Points) in a form the X-COM games used it or sticking with my original idea. Could someone with Cybeerpunk experience detail how that system implements damage without the use of HPs.

On a different tangent: what freeware html converter for rtf do you recommend?

Feel free to look through that incredibly long list of skills I have for anything that might be useful, Flaser.

I'm pretty sure that I covered the bases with that stuff.

This is the initial version of the skill tree.

I've added a couple of skills to the original list in the SPECIAL system.

As you can see I'll have to do a ton of writting to put it into the manual.

Specialised skills give knowledge to only a portion of the skill they are assigned to, while application skills are gained when you practice a skill or a specialised skill.

Application Skills can be raised continously as you gain xp, specialised skills and base skills can be raised when levelling up.

When levelling up Specialised skils are traited as if they were tagged, so they go up twice as fast as the base would.

Uloaded a 90% complete Skill Tree.

It has become quite a monster, but in gamplay you won't use 90% most of the time.
