Title: ah, the wonders of bit torrent; The Corporation now available
Post by: Rictor on June 06, 2004, 06:40:25 pm: Just thought I'de mention that a The Corporation torrent is available on Suprnova. Its under Movies>Documentaries.

Its only 444 mb, so the size is quite manageable. I'm sure many of you download several times more than this a week, what with all the Can't Miss TV shows etc.

Take my advice, get this baby. Now, I'm not a million percent sure that its the whole movie, since TV Ontario aired it in 3 one-hour parts, but I do think its the whole thing. The fact that there were no follow-up torrents posted, the fact that its not named 1 of 3, and the fact that this seed appears now, only a few weeks after TVO aired all 3 parts together leads me to believe its the entire movie.

This is, in my humble opinion, one of those things every person should watch. If you live in the States, this may appear in theatres during the summer (if you live in a big city), but AFAIK there is no way other way that people living anywhere except the US or Canada could get it.

and I swear, if this thread gets like 3 views and no replies, I'll will go to my room and pout; so watch it!

Post by: Rictor on June 07, 2004, 12:22:19 am: I would think it very ironic if someone were to get busted for pirating this movie. I mean, the movie deals with the pathological pursuit of profit by corporations, so I don't see the fillm-makers or distributors cracking down on piracy.

For me, the message of the movie is more important than the profits made. Thats why I believe in distributing it to as many people as possible. This is a movie you really need to see, regardless of how you get it. And anyways, if you're outside of Canada or the US, the chances aren't good that it will ever come to theatres.

if thats your concern jdjtcagle, I don't think you should worry. People rarely evcer get busted for downloading movies, even the big name blockbuusters. For something like this, given the message of the film, you have nothing to fear.

so...anyone downloading it?
