Very cool.
Those paintings on the bow of the corvettes adds a touch of individuality to the ships while still making clear they're from the same squadron.
very cool indeed...  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

That pegasus art is awesome. And the ships and render aren't too bad either  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

Nose art is so cool.  It does, however, limit what you can call ships.  After all, there are some names you can't have images for, or they wouldn't be easy.  And every new ship you have, you'll have to creat a nose art graphic.  But of course, that may only be for a small part of the fleet, so.  It does add individuality to the ships, though.  I know if I saw one of those going down, it would piss me off almost as much as the Galatea going down.

As for the render, your sigs are way too big, taking away from the image.  I know you want to advertise, but this is silly.  The sun looks odd.  The rays are way too bright, too big, and a touch unrealistic.  The planet looks good though, you can even see the lights of cities if you look hard enough.  The ships should be a bit shaded as they are between us and the sun, much like the planets.

I know there is a method, but all I see is madness.

All right, Psycho! It's about time you got these babies up here! You've done an absolutely top-notch job on them, dude - way to go.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Seeing as I know the geometry of the Nike, you need to show the people here some different angles on them.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

In the Zip is a plain pcx file with no nose art.

That looks really cool. I like the touch of the grey gas 'poof' you put on the back of the engines (those are the backs of the engines, right?  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)) - but even though I like it, I don't know if it belongs there, as it's something I typically associate with atmospheric flight and dust in the engines from that.

And apart from that, I have to agree with Eish - the QM logos everywhere detract from the render, unfortunately. Loosen 'em up a bit, reduce their size, anything.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
