okay, since i'm planning on doing some textures and such, can anyone care to go to the trouble of packing the skins of a couple of FS fighters to try it out on?. the terran fighters should suffice.. i might try making some variant skins for them, as well as a better-looking original.. :)

Not to discourage you but why don't you get VPView and then you can pick and choose what you want to play with.

anywho, i'm only touching some of them up.. nothing too new just going over them with the airbrush to smooth the pixelation somewhat..
i'm going over the perseus first off, so it should look good when it's done.

Actually, the V Maps are rather messy to attempt to remap - there're none of the crisp, clean lines left from the UVMapper. Grab Aldos 4th Modeldump - there're a few uvmapped but untextured fighters in there which are great to start with - my first decent texture was (One of) his GTB Berserker(s) from that dump.

Or, I have a bomber I'm working on that could use some staining, and dirt on it's plating... ;)

mmm, this might be something.
Would you be willing to delve into technichal issues as well? If you can make some nicely damaged/rusted maps, I'd like that. Could you register over at Sectorgame?
