Title: Has anyone got Starship Troopers (1) on DVD?
Post by: aldo_14 on June 10, 2004, 08:54:16 am
I want to try and find a good image of the scene where the damaged destroyers are limping into / docked at the battle station (Ticonderoga?).  I can;t find any on the net, so is there a chance someone could do me a favour and rip a couple of images for me?

Thanks in advance.

I do have VHS, but not the time to drag down my VHS+TV combo to my dad's PC and find out how the bloody capture works.

GAH!

I need some kind of screenshot software, or a DVD player that can take shots; C'z my computer is doing that stupid ****ing thing where it ignores the video.

I take a screenshot and I can paste it into MS-Paint but then when I move the rest of the picture, the DVD part stays where it is and when I save it it saves as a big blank space.

Piece of crap!

*kicks the crappy computer*

Hmm... doesn't PowerDVD write screenshots? Could've sworn it did...

PowerDVD works fan-frickin-tastic.

But with one proviso: It pastes the shots into Paint in a square, regardless of their aspect ratio. As such, the shots are a little askew and need squishing length-wise by maybe 10%.

Two other things: My monitor is too dark, so the shots might need lightening up some; And I don't have PS on this computer so I had to user ReaConverter Pro to convert (from BMP), sharpen and lighten them.

Other than that, VOILA!:
