I'm supposedly dying in 2045 too. And my BMI is ~13,5. So it doesnt really seem connected to that.

(And no, I don't smoke)

I don't think I'll make it as far as 2045 tho :D

Thursday, June 15, 2056 (76).

Although I live another 14 years if I become optimistic......die in 2019 if i'm sadistic, and in 2034 if I'm pessimistic.  Yet smoking or not has no difference.................

Oh, yeah - I like the bollocks ads for life extension drugs linked on that page.  Very subtle.*

That's sarcasm bytheway

I'm wayyyyyyy under-weighted.

Who cares. As long as you can live about normally, it can't be that bad that it affects your health that much.

-edit: Now I know why I'm dying so early. 'tis probably down to the 'pessimistic' bit too :blah:

You can say that again... :blah: 19 is the lowest 'average' BMI figure. 13.5 is extremely low.

As a note: BMI 19 -> Length: 1.4732 meter, weight: 45.5 kg.

Eh, I just checked the childrens chart and it's not even on there. It only goes down to 15... BMI of 15 would mean you should be 8.5 kg and 73.7 cm...

You sure you didn't make a mistake somewhere? :p

BMI:
Body mass (KG)
Bodylength (m) ^2

I weigh 62KG and am 1,90 meters (minimum, haven't checked the last month or so, and if you see how much food I stow, I am growing again)
Title: The Death Clock

So, you have a BMI of 17.54. That's on the border of unhealthy Kas. I suggest you at least try to gain some weight. 19 is the lowest average.

Post by: Bobboau on June 17, 2004, 09:30:31 am

It was a major pain in the ass to convert all that bloody cm>Ft & In, but I hope I got it right; 177 cm>5'9.  I weight an amazing 128 Lbs. That's 58 kg? BMI being 19. So...

15.May 2062
So, 74 years old.

Not sure - my BMI is about 23-24, I think that's about bang in the middle of 'average'.  I think 26-27 would be, tho.

(I'm guessing my height, plus my weight tends to fluctate by about half a stone)

BMI is pretty useless, though, because it doesn't account for muscle mass vs fat.

Daily intake of food:

2 slices of brown bread for breakfast
14 slices during the day at school
Sometimes a bag of patato(sp?) chips
Sometimes (once, twice a week) a medium portion of fries.
Another bunch of bread when I get home. (Aproxx 6 to 8)
Dinner, according to package labels, dinner for 2 by myself.
Another 6 to 8 slices of bread, or a bowl of salad (most people would call it a serving bowl)

Daily excersise:
12 KM riding to school.
Walking around in school.
12  KM riding back to my home.
Typing a lot.

If I eat any more I will be chewing alll day, and we aren't allowed to eat in class.....

EDIT: Oh yes, extremely slim build. I mean so slim I need to search for hours to get a pair of jeans not falling of my hips the moment I move.

More protein in your diet, 1 and a half to  2 grams a day per pound of body weight and double that for carbs
Title: The Death Clock

Agreed, you are getting a hell of a lot of wholemeal each day, people could probably set their watches with you ;) Go for Eggs, Milk, other Dairy Products, also, I'd suggest taking some multi-vits once a day, the effect is minimal, but it does help make sure you are getting anything you missed ;)

If you are concerned about your build, try some high protein drinks like Build-Up or the like, but a word of warning, they taste like poo, regardless of what flavour it says on the pack ;)

And, to everybody, avoid the Atkins, it's a killer, and I mean that.
Title: The Death Clock
Post by: kasperl on June 17, 2004, 01:14:15 pm
Note: I cannot have any sugar or sweeteners, bar cooked in apple juice and tiny amounts of maple syrup.

As for eating more eggs, well, in the weekends I do have an eggg for breakfast, and my mom cooks with eggs quite some times as well.
Milk, well, I can't really stand the stuff. And in winter I generally pack cheese on my bread, but not in the summer because, well, after sitting 5 hours in a lunchbox at 25 to 30 degrees centigrade, you know it won't  look or taste appealing.

And I am not concerned about my built, just slightly annoyed when shopping for clothing, pants, to be exact.

Sadistic mode always returns: Saturday, June 15, 2019
Normal mode always returs : Wednesday, June 14, 2056
Pessimistic varies betweet: 2033 - 2041
Optimistic varies betweet: 2066 - 2081

Fun Fun  :)

Now, back to work... :ick:

Oh yes, I do take vitamin C tablets. It kinda helps, but the moment I feel good enough to quit, I will.  Anything I can't get through a head of letttuce with some other greens a day isn't worth the cancer risk.

And even if cancer wasn't an issue, the taste, man, the taste.

There is no way I'm overweight, yet that thing tells me I am (5'3.5'' and 140 pounds=BMI of 25, that's not overweight for a male).

I'll be 86.

This is all assuming they don't come up with Anti-Aging nanobots that periodically remove/restore the chemicals that accumulate/deplete as a part of the aging process.  Then I'll live to 2098 to the ripe old age of 124.  Which, according to certain passages in Genesis, is the maximum operational span for a human.

Eat some meat, it'll get rid of a skin and bones look.  I mean, that's like 20 slices of bread per day, fit some meat in there.

White bread gives me constipation, and I'd have to eat about 2 loafs a day to keep going. As for eating meat, dinner generally includes meat, and in winter I generally take cheese/meat on my bread.

And the evening meal is generally sliced meat on bread.

Vitamin suppliments might help, and you might be able to eat them with the white bread to avoid the constipation.

I know. Technically I shouldnt be able to feel as good as I do :p
'cept for a terribly low blood pressure I dont have any problems worth mentioning.

The underweight is not something I can do anything against though - musta be the genes or something, as my whole family has that kind of tendency (though I am the one who's most extreme).

The ironic thing is, theres barely any time during the day i'm not eating anything. And yes, this includes a lot of meat, fast food (mmmhhh burgers) and cakes. So, yes, i'm happy with my weight. It's not like I have any problems with it, and I can eat everything I want, anytime I want (without gaining any weight at all). A bit more wouldnt be bad, but I guess that's gonna come with the years anyway. ;)
