Well one day here at school, I went to the career fair. Well I started talking to someone from the Department of Defense. And before I knew it I was walking to have an interview with one of their staff. Well, to make a long story short, I am now employed with the DoD in their contracting division as a student Co-Op. :D

Good stuff. :)
Congrats
-
Dude, congratulations. Happy news - couldn't find a better time for it. ;)
-
Yah, I have been sitting on this news for the past week or so waiting for HLP to go back up. Best part is, you can go over seas. Guess where I would like to go for a tour ;)
-
Say Iraq and I'll shoot you....
Wait... :nervous:
-
Major congratulations, dude. :D
So where are you looking to go in the world?
-
That is an option. They give you $60,000 for six month assignment. The way I figure it, as long as you survive the ride to and from Bagdad airport and through downtown bagdad you'll be ok. I did decide if I ever had to go there that I would take small arms training and self defense class and keep a concealed 9mm on my person.
But honestly, I would like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait. Any of those would be great. However, really want to visit London. France is out of the question(even before the riots).
-
Why's France out of the question? It's a great country...
Gratz on the job though.
-
Congrats :D
-
Thanks,
I am sure the country is beautiful. Its the fact that the French live there...and there is a general stereotype of the french that is pretty acurate from what I understand.
-
Does this mean that when I eventually start up an arms dealing operation, you can get me lucrative contracts?
Kudos on the job. Just try not to accidentally push The Button.
-
Sounds interesting. Congrats.
I'm actually looking for a summer internship or part-time job myself at the moment. I could go to NIST for a second time or look for something else, maybe the nearby APL campus or one of the several military contractors in the area. I wouldn't consider anything that required me to go outside daily commuting range, much less outside the country, but I fortunately have a lot of local options.
Good stuff. :)Congrats
I guess that feature is not quite working yet. :D
-
What was that supposed to be, anyway??
-
I did that with the Air Force, the pay is ridiculous nad you get paid for the days off that you dont take

Glow tags. Doesn't work in FF, I think we found that out during testing but I figured maybe someone had found a way round it.
Hey whoa, hold on a second. In Internet Explorer it puts a wee box round it and all sorts of crazy ass nonsense. :wtf:
-
Gives me the box thingy in FF...

One small step for a man, one giant leap for stereotype destruction: link (http://www.lisasdotcom.com/stereotypes.htm)
I'm pretty sick of the anti-French sentiment.
-
I'm British, I think I'm superior to both parties. :D
-
zomg! :p
-
****ing right we are. :D

Nice! Congrats! ^^
