Title: Mesh Avaliable for D/Load (Dump)
Post by: Roanoke on November 12, 2005, 06:08:30 am
Here, I've totally lost interest on modelling so I'm gonna dump this fella. I had intended to do a whole line of similar ships (well, the same sloping front anyway) but nevermind.

Anyone, do whatever you like to it.

Is it compatible with 3ds or Maya? Or do I have to use Deep Exploration again.

Thanks there Mr k.

That's a zip'd 3ds file so pretty much any model proggy should read it, though there may be some detail errors (orientation and what not)

I mucked around with the model a bit, came up with two versions I liked, and then unfortunately ran headfirst into the same unmanageable conversion process that has repeatedly frustrated my attempts to make the Akula work. Cinema 4D does not like reading from or converting to .3ds format. I can't make further use of them, so maybe somebody else can.

One would make a decent cruiser with two heavy forward guns or missile batteries, or a fast light carrier for not much more then a squadron of fighters.

The other's either a fast civy transport, or a small-to-medium carrier with four launch and two landing decks in the side pods.
