Thanks to the last advancement in laser technology, the latest NGTA vessels are able to perform BVR (Beyond Visual Range) attacks.

In space, visual range is infinite. Unless you're standing behind something or in a nebula, in which case you aren't likely to get hit at long range (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
Nice render tho. Even if you use the diffraction screen or whatever it's called a leeeeetle too much, makes the lasers look funky.

you know, even in space, when something is far, it eventually becomes too small for you to see it (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

This is a campaign I'll be looking forward to... look at all those cool new ships!

Not with the right equipment. Unless you for some reason you'd want to bombard a very small asteroid on the other side of the (also infinite) Universe. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
But anyway, what campaign is this? 'Cause however innacurate (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) these ships are sweeeeeeet.

Thanx (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) anyway, the idea is to shoot at the shivans before they can get to Bfred range (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
Makes sense.

Stryke, what your saying isn't wrong, but there is a limit to seeing something with the naked eye. even if there aren't any obstructions, something can be so small that you can't see it without magnifying the view multiple times.

Of course, in reality the Sathanas you're shooting at has beams even better than yours. After all.... You might have the queen of spades, but the Shivans have all the Aces.

Well, as those capships uses actual lasers (not beams), the range is virtually unlimited, so the beams will still have a shorter range. Anyway, thanx everybody for commenting a dumb text I added so the post isn't too empty, that's obviously what I was expecting, I suppose. Oh well. Next time I'll just post a text, that'll save me some valuable time I spent in a useless render and a useless upload (I'm in a bad mood, I suppose it's obvious, too).
