Right here (http://supermanreturns.warnerbros.com/)
Kevin Spacey is Lex, so that's promising.
God I hope they won't mess it up. Not that the Christopher Reeve ones were a grand success though...
The teaser trailer is pretty good though. It goes hand in hand with what I would've imagined a new movie about Superman would be like. And Marlon's script (what you hear during the trailer) pretty much immortalizes the whole idea Superman's about.
As a sidenote, Smallville has been progressing quite godly these past few episodes, especially the one yesterday. I wonder if perchance the movie will continue off from where the series ends in 2006?
Maybe not, since they can milk the series for at least 3 more seasons, but still, there seems to be collaboration between the new movie and the series, seeing how they both will follow the same pattern.

The trailer looks decent.
/me wishes the focus was on Kal-L, not Kal-El though. Golden Age Superman FTW.
-
It's going to suck so bad it may very well cause the entire DC universe to implode.
-
Eeeeeeehhhhhhhhh I kinda doubt that.
I mean it very well might, but it seems to have all the ingredients to be a solid movie.
-
So did AVP.
-
It'll be crap, like every other comic adaptation has been.
-
Batman Begins was pretty good.
And I liked Fantastic Four.

golden age superman was a dick.
-
True, but so is the modern age Superman. At least the Golden Age Superman wasn't basically invulnerable (as opposed to being stunned by nuclear explosives, he was injured by artillery shells).
-
It'll be crap, like every other comic adaptation has been.
so you didn't like X-men, Spider-man, or Batman Begins?
-
Legacy/Legend/Whatever productions are footing half of the bill for this one, just as they did for Batman Begins.
I doubt they'd be wasting their money if the movie was ****.

Are you TRYING to get people to just ignore everything you say?
-

Didn't particularly like those first two, haven't seen Batman Begins yet.
And just for Zylonbane's benefit, I'll rephrase. In my opinion, the likelihood of it being crap is quite high, as the overwhelming majority of comic adaptations have been less than impressive, to say the least.
-
X2 was far better than X-Men, in my opinion, and I thought Batman Begins was quite good. Most others I have not enjoyed though.
-
Meh, I can't say anything until I've seen it.

Oh you mean the dick from Earth-2
-
Yes. He was less of a retard, though only by a bit. For example, he married Lois, rather than doing stuff like this:

le peeck ees dead.

Only because it hates you.

This was originally going to be directed by Tim Burton, with Nicholas Cage as Superman. That would have kicked ass.
-
i cant really see Cage as superman, the Burton thing woulda been awesome though
-
Burton's good for Batman to a point, but not for Superman.
And Cage as Superman? Kind of too old and bald, don't you tihnk?
-
Nice...could be good. Superman was never my favorite but seems interesting enough. I just saw Batman Begins a few days ago...superb movie. X-Men was good but X2 came into its own. I haven't seen some of the other comic book adaptations as I've heard they were not as good.
There are hits and misses and we'll see if this is a hit or not.

Sorry, looks like you misspelled "sucked ass" there. Tim Burton's Superman would have been a random, unfocused, self-indulgent mess, just like Batman. The only thing that salvaged Batman was the production design and Jack Nicholson's "I know this script is stupid so I may as well chew the hell out of the scenery" performance.
Did you know that Burton (and his producer) had decided that Superman wasn't going to fly in his film? Yeah. Chew on that for a while.
-
The original Superman couldn't fly, nor was he affected by Kryptonite. Both were actually added by radio serials a few years after the comics first started. (Kryptonite was actually invented because Superman's voice actor wanted a week off, so they just got some dude to do some random moaning as superman got weaker and weaker thanks to kryptonite, while someone else saved the day).
Also, for the record, Sin City was a comic book adaptation. So yeah. All sucking arse, I think not.

The original Coca-Cola had cocaine in it. What's your point?

You do realise that there is no original "Superman" - right? Siegel was alive up until 1996 and partook in almost every incarnation of his creation.
There is only the primitive idiotic first concept and then the one later improved on and built on by as much reason and logic allowed it.

"**** was better in the 50's"?
-
Superman is dumb, and I'm glad Tim Burton's genius was not wasted on him.
-
Yeah, isn't it so much better that his genius was wasted on Planet of the Apes and Corpse Bride?
-
Yeah, isn't it so much better that his genius was wasted on Planet of the Apes and Corpse Bride?
Or Big Fish or Sleepy Hollow or Batman Returns.
Burton's style is suitable for certain areas, but I agree that he probably wouldn't have been the best guy to direct a Supermensch Scout Boy Man Krypton movie. His style is too different.
-
Looks like it has some potential. Was that Anthony Hopkins doing the voiceover?
-
:wtf:
Marlon Brando from the 1978 movie.

Not quite. There were years in the middle where Siegel had no effect on it, and his name was in fact purged from the comic.

M-hm, still doesn't change the fact that he was involved in the original incarnation as well as the current popular one (his last incarnation really).
-
And that really sums up most of his participation, with the exception of a bit in the middle of the Silver Age.
On an interesting side note, the ability to fly was actually added for the original Fleischmann (sp?) cartoons, as the jumping was deemed to not be exciting enough.
