Title: Anyone else read the Wheel of Time?
Post by: Jetmech Jr. on November 19, 2005, 06:17:56 pm
Finally managed to finish Knife of Dreams, and euphoric would be a very accurate description of my state of mind right now. So much better than the last two. The action picks up fairly quickly, bad things happen to certain people that I desperately wanted to see suffer, and
Spoiler:
w00t! MOIRAINES ALIVE!

So anyone else follow Jordan's works?

*Raises hand*
I just got Knife of Dreams earlier this week and I've been itching rather badly to read it, but I'm re-reading Crossroads of Twilight just so that I'm sure I didn't miss anything since it's been a while since the last time I read it.

But from everything I've heard about Knife of Dreams now.. I'm not sure I can wait until I finish CoT again :D

Oh and for the spoiler thing, agreed, w00tage.

Books 9 and 10 are really just to set the scene for book 11, so it's probably a good idea to reread CoT as you said.

I made my way through the first two books, and I own the first two, so how many thousands of pages does that leave me behind the rest of you? :p I can't say that I was overly impressed or drawn in by the first two, but I'd still like to keep reading if for nothing else than to see where the story goes.  I will say that, from this end, I'm having a hard time seeing how the series makes it to 11 books, so that's another reason for me to keep going.

/highlights spoiler...
/realizes he's nowhere near the event it refers to...
/kicks himself for being spoiled...
/reassures himself by thinking that he'll have completely forgotten about it by the time he gets to reading about said event :p
