Post by: FireCrack on November 20, 2005, 02:37:15 pm

They type text like this, and pick 'change color' and pick 'green' or 'yellow'and hit post perhaps?

He means the background.

It's something to do with thread starters in certain forums.

It's a resolution-tracking feature that's being tested out in the SCP, Wiki, and a couple of other forums.  Yellow means unacknowledged, green means resolved.

Resolution? Unacknowledged?

Got a better explination?

He means that the different colors denote whether or not an SCP request has been read/completed/is being worked on :)
EDIT: And speaking of features, what's the funky star thing under my name for?

No certain forums do it automatically.  Moderators in those forums can then change the colors.

Basically it's like the bug reporting feature for the SCP, where posts are coloured differently depending on the status of the request.

Since this site is primarily designed for the SCP and it's Mods, that makes sense, and it's not as if any of the background colours make things hard to read unless the poster uses some really nasty text colours.

Can someone point out these colours? I don't think I've seen a single post or thread that looks in anyway different from the others.

Certainly not in the "Ahhhhh my eyes! My beautiful eyes!!!1111" way that everyone describes.

There's something under UT's name? I don't really see anything... looks like a sliver of an avatar but only like... a quarter of what would usually be there.

I don't really know how the half-HLP came to represent Unsung Heroes. They've got a shiny new avatar now. :p

That was me... I wanted to put something in there, but didn't have an avatar at the time, so I grabbed the avatar from the aide de camps. :p
