1. What new features will propably appear?
2. What new craft are 100% going to make it into the next release?
A longer, constructive thought would be aprecieated... :)
-
1. Lots and lots of them.
2. Those that are finished.
Damn! It is fun to be a team member and give annoying cryptic answers... :D
Don't worry. I'm sure someone who actually knows the answers will give you an (possibly cryptic and annoying) answer...
Oh well. I'd best get back at FREDing the best damn campaign ever...
-
ther will be a lot of new ships i guess.
but i can only tell which ships i did so far and are very near completion or already ingame:
Rutarian
Drakh Cruiser/Carrier (maybe an Attack Cruiser too), Transport Open/Closed, Tanker, Mothership
new Whitestar
Bluestar
Victory
Vree Xill, Xorr ,both by IPAndrews
Bintak
Vorlon Planetkiller, Dreadnought by Stithe2000
Explorer
Falkosi
currently i am working on the jadul station, a vorlon freighter, the marcanos station and the blockade mine. also i will try to do a good locking bridge for the whitestar, but i dont know if we will get this to work until the next release, it was more of an idea.
so, i hope this is enough. though, dont nail me on this, this are just the ships i know that will most likely be in the next release, but not for sure!! ;)
-
Speaking of cryptic answers, you should also consider hiring a few Vorlons to do the answering...
Hey, what about the Narn Transport from the "Acts of Sacrifice" ?
Has it been completed, or started yet ?
-
Hey Mav, you forgot about the EA Mainbot.
There is a WIP for the Narn Transport sitting around somewhere, and I too would like it ultimately, but I think its under someone else's juristiction at this point.
-
Ah, ok.. I`ve watched the show as much as I could, but its been a while.. Most of those ships I know, but one.. Could you put a picture up of the falkos. I`m at a loss here..
If it is to much trouble, then i`ll understand, I know your busy as a bee at the moment..
-
It's a tri-winged Brakiri fighter, never seen in the show. There were some images up in I_E_Maverick's thread, but they appear to have been removed.
-
Silly me, I now remember seeing it, thanks for the help..
Yeah, he made 2 versions of it...
Hmmm, haven`t had my coffee yet this morning, that explains it..
-
Don't take this the wrong way but the Falkosi model is way off
(http://www.uncomyngifts.com/Main/Recreation_Room/Babylon-5/Game_Supplies/Babylon5Wars/Miniatures/falkosi.jpg)
-
hmm upon review of the actual model, it is actually very close. Just ignore my last comment.
-
You guys forgot T'Loth too.
-
Have we got an eta for 3.3 yet?
-
If we told you then that would ruin the surprise ;)
-
Unlike Garabadi I hate surprises LOL

Perhaps we will see this ship in the TBP Core 3.3
Hel’zha-class Heavy Fighter
(http://www.frostjedi.com/vex/assets/images/hel_zha_fighter.jpg)
Model: (Minbari-Vorlon hybrid) Valen’s Eye Manufacturing Point Hel'zha-class heavy fighter
Length: 14 meters
Drive System: Stalasha Gravimetric Engine
Cargo Capacity: 110 kilograms
Hel'zha fighter on assignment in the Nagus System
Crew: 1 pilot
Armament: * 2 fusion cannons
* 1 missile launcher
These were the first ships to combine Minbari and Vorlon technologies. While most of the vessel is strictly Minbari technology, the vessel's inner and outer structure is composed of an adaptive organo-metallic substance with self-repair capabilities. This "skin" learns from experience and once a form of damage is encountered, the skin alters itself to better deflect that type of damage. The "skin" also acts as a self-repair mechanism and can repair most internal and external damage given time. Port and starboard nacelles provide maneuvering thrust. Should a nacelle be destroyed, maneuverability is not lost, merely sluggish and difficult.
Three prototype fighters were constructed to test the stability of the hybrid systems. While construction of White Star-class ships were a priority, several squadrons were subsequently built for specialized missions.

Interesting
-
The fighter's canon too, it was used in "To Dream in the City of Sorrows" book. The only one said to be fully canon by JMS.
Good book by the way, I recommend reading it. :)

I love it to guess! Hehe, we will see.
Advanced Whitestar
(http://www.eon3d.com/Archives/AWS_Beauty.jpg)
The Advanced Whitestar was set into production during the Drakh war, as a replacement for the original whitestar. Its both faster, better shielding, more powerful weapons, and a visible cockpit is no longer seen, making the only vulnerable place at the rear docking part. The AWS is not that much bigger than the original WS, the length of the AWS is: 143m compared to the original which is 112m. But its a worthy replacement, most of the vorlon-minbari technology is optimized and working with a 100% compatibility together.
-
We wont be seeing either ship in 3.3 but the Hel'Zha will probably be in a later release.
-
That Whitestar Advanced is pretty much the same model Asprin is using as his Greystar for his First Ones Shadow War campaign.
-
Yes it looks just as silly :D.
-
So any Date for release on 3.3 yet and are there any changes to the flight engine. like making it more realistic?
-
It will be released in X days.
-
X as in 10, or X as in Y - Z = X ? ;7
-
:p :p :ick: :ick: :hopping:      :( :( :(
You are worse than Kosh
At least you could make sence of him sometimes
-
Are we getting close to X yet??
-
maybe
-
ever wanted to post this :)
"it is done when it is done!"
:pimp:  ;7
-
You guys actually found time to work (on TBP I mean) during these days? Christmas is coming! There's som much to do the stress is going to kill me before I get to open my presents.
:shaking: <- picture of me, most of the time...
:mad2: <- and when not shaking.
-
Yeah, there was actually some progress lately. In the interest of quality assurance, the Christmas release has been moved to somewhere in the next year.

After extensive testing with fs2-open 3.6.7 I THINK IT WOULD BE PRUDENT TO USE THIS BUILD, there are only 2 small bugs (more info on tbp status board)
Compatabilty is fine with all testing to date, it is a very good and stable build as is with fred 3.6.7.
