I've got a backlog of campaigns to play cause Microsoft ruined my joystick drivers... I've been wanting to play Deux Ex Machina, but it crashes when one of the bombers in Gamma wing is destroyed. (I think it's Gamma 4, but I'm not sure.) I ran it in 3.6.7 in debug mode and got this during the load sequence:
Warning: For ship 'GTF Hercules', detail level
mismatch (POF needs 5)
File:ship/ship.cpp
Line: 7163
[This filename points to the location of a file on the computer that built this executable]
Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone got any ideas?
(Just realized I got the quotes to work right...)

DEM works with retail, so if you're having too much trouble, just remove all the SCP stuff (or move it to a mod folder).
As for the error, it sounds like a problem in the mediaVPs. I think someone else posted about it before, but search is b0rked so I can't check. You might want to download all the mediaVP patches and see if that fixes it.

HTLd herc has more LODs than the normal one, could that cause these problems? With new models & old tables?

That is something I've been meaning to ask about. The TBL file probably just needs to have that one value changed. You should be able to 'ok' past it.

@Goober -- I have downloaded both of the mediaVP patches... But I will try to move SCP to a mod folder over the weekend. Will I be able to run it from there when I play other campaigns?
@Wanderer -- I have no idea what you just said. My experience with FS2 modding is limited to really picky spellchecking.
@WMCoolmon -- I tried to "ok" past it...it just kept popping up. If I canceled FS2 just crashed to the desktop.

1) Yup, just use the -mod command line in the Launcher.

Thanks for the help, got it fixed.
Sorry this is so late, I couldn't find my own post. >.<
