Title: Haibane Renmei
Post by: redsniper on December 08, 2005, 04:09:00 pm
So, during the downtime I managed to finish 'getting' and watching this anime and I enjoyed it a lot. Who knew that an anime with no sword fighting or gunplay could still be so good? The plot didn't really go the way I thought it would but I still liked it. The characters are likable and it has a good soundtrack to boot. So, has anyone else here seen this? What did you think of it?

Seen it ages ago...now if only people could watch Hack.Sign with the same mindset.

It's definitely an A class anime. Gave me about the same amount of feel-really-damn-good that Saikano gave me feel-really-****ing-sad.

I still haven't seen it. (well I have senn the first episode though). I should just grab my arse, nail it to the bench and watch it (the series, not the arse)... ... among other titles.

Haibane Renmei is sufficiently awesome. I knew I was gonig for the right thing when I heard that the same people were involved in Serial Experiments Lain.

In any case, it's a nice story of... let's call it "transcendance" and its laws.

Seeing a few episodes of .hack//SIGN on Toonami was what started to convince me that all anime did not involve seizure-inducing flashing and ridiculous emotional displays a la Pokemon. :p
