Oh well, I know that many have ask this kind of question but im tired with searching.
I have found for Truespace a tutorial site and with the help of Freespace oracle other tools.
But no tutorial for 3dsmax, are you know a site?
A sticky thread here in Hlp with all links what you need would really helpfull.

From what I understand Max actually has a build a spaceship tutorial included (although that may depend on the version). AFAIK there aren't any tutorials specifically related to Max modelling for FS2 but the Wiki has just been updated to include lots of details on how to use Styxx's plug-in to save directly to the pof format that FS2 uses.

I learned most of my polymesh editing techniques from a low-poly character modeling book by Paul Steed of id software, and by just messing around with various tools and functions.
What you're looking for depends a lot on how knowledgeable you are with Max to begin with. You need to know your way around the interface and terminology before you can start making something as complex as a game model.
