I think he's wrong about global warming - not about whether or not it's affecting hurricanes, because that is still under research - but in the statment that global warming is being 'hyped up'.  Particularly with the implication it's due to some form of governmental or industrial self-interest, when the opposite would seem to be true (particularly in the light of the recent climate conference).

I think one thing he says is also odd; he equates a reduction in storms during incresed greenhouse gas emissions as being some sort of evidence against a global warming impact, but surely any effect would be expected to occur after such a change (particularly using the concept of a 'tipping point'), not whilst it occurs?  And also that only people who know nothing about the atmosphere (which appears to be anyone younger than their late 60s) would believe in a correlation between gases and warming, which I think is wrong.

I agree that he's wrong. If it is just about inventing an enemy then why is it that the US isn't the only country finding out about global warming? Why is it that even countries like France who seem to have no interest whatsoever in finding a new enemy are also stating that global warming is real?
