Title: Problem connection missions in a campaign
Post by: Savage on December 13, 2005, 12:28:51 pm
Hello everybody,

just practicing in the World of Fred (3.6.5) for two weeks now. As I’m trying to make a simple campaign today, connecting just two missions linear, I noticed that the available mission box is always empty. Any idea why?

Greetings
Malte

Bug in FRED. Save your empty campaign and then load it in and everything will be well again.

If I try to save an empty camp. there is a popup error message: "No top level mission present in tree" can't also delete the top line as there is an error massage too.

It seems to be impossible to create an empty campaign file.

Sorry
Malte

That doesn't actually mean it hasn't saved it.

It worked for me. Are you sure you're saving it in the right place?
If it still doesn't work, try this: create a text file in your missions folder, paste the following and rename it to something.fc2

$Name: Unnamed
$Type: single
$Flags: 0

+Starting Ships: ()

+Starting Weapons: ()

#End

was even more tricky then I could imagine.

As fred asked where to save the file I assume that the file would be placed where I told fred to do so. But all fles where placed in the mission folder (which is quite full now )

Thx a lot for your patience and help.
