IIRC, most scholars believe He was born during Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles. Which usually occurs around October. Which puts it approx. 9 months after Christmas. ;)

christmas was really ment to celebrate the god saturn, but when rome converted they were forced to come up with a way to make the conversion easy for pagans. so christmas was born, to replace the pagan holiday which already took place in honor of saturn.
