Title: Error Parsing...

Hello!
I recently installed FS2 (retail version) on my laptop and patched it to 1.20. However, I now regularly get
errors starting with "Error Parsing..." (for example several .tbls when trying to start FRED2).
I have the SCP installed, but it was the same without.
Any help for solving this problem would be appreciated!

Can you give a bit more info, like: What SCP build have you tried to use? Are you using any Media VPs or mods? Have you read installation guides? Here (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Getting_Started%28Main%29) and here (http://scp.indiegames.us/e107_plugins/custompages/scpinstallation.php).

You might post the error here too, it would help too.

Almost certainly a rogue VP or table file. Although the symptoms are different the cause is very similar to what I described here (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/karajorma/FAQ/fs2-technical.html#ulysses) only this time do search for anything ending in .tbl not just ships.tbl itself.
