What could possibly be unusual about invading a country to *cough* prevent it manufacturing chemical weapons, and then releasing the people identified as their top bio-warfare experts and threats to global security?

I have come to a simple answer that fully explains the reasoning behind those that started the war in Iraq.

They're all ****ing liars.

It's not unusual at all:

"Our Germans are better than their Germans!"

...now it's all about who has the better Iraqi bioweapon people ;)

They didn't exactly just bung the like of Von Braun off to Austria though, did they?

I reckon they're hoping they'll go to Syria so that Bush can say "Opps. Looks like we were wrong about them being a threat. We'd better invade Syria now so we can capture them"

You haven't caught on yet? The last five years of American politics have just been the world's most elaborate piece of Dada art ever created. I think it's an absolute masterpiece.

Heh, well, as stupid as it sounds, at least these people won't be able to wipe their bums without American Intelligence examining it. It's a convenience play to keep the Shi'ites happy, but they aren't really being released, they are just being allowed to walk around.

It's still stupid and unfair to those who fought and died in this war to bring people like this to court in the first place, but it's not really surprising.
