Title: Question about battlefield 2

I recently bought BF2, I know that it's online game, but I found disturbing thing.

Does single player mode have only a quickgame with 16 bots? How I can configure singleplayer game (I mean number of players, victory point etc.)?   In BF1942 there was even a campaign mode (****ty but was).

I'm afraid you may be out of luck. Battlefield 2 caters even more strictly towards multiplayer only and while the Singleplayer game is there (of a sorts... you can play skirmishes on the maps) you're incredibly limited as to what you can do.

on a loosely similar subject, anyone reckon 56k is gonna be man enough to handle UT2004 ?

Probably not. I played the original UT on a 56k for a while, but always got owned. After I got a cable line I did the owning. Some other games like FS2, on the other hand, worked quite well on a 56k as long as I wasn't hosting or something.
