Title: Computery problem. External Hard Drive is giving me a headache...
Post by: delta_7890 on December 28, 2005, 04:03:12 pm
Alright, here's the scoop.  I've got some anime that I'm trying to dump from my internal 40 GB hard drive to a brand-spanking new 160gb external drive, attached by a USB cable.  These are all AVI files, but when I try to move them, I get an "Invalid MS-DOS function" error.  What gives?

Oh, and the manufacturer of the external drive is Western Digital, if that helps any.

Try copying them? :p

Do you have all the relevant and most up-to-date drivers and updates installed?

Anyway, how was the way you copied the files?

More info required; OS, does it only happen with a specific filetype/size, etc. etc.
