International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service, their joking right? We have a service monitoring the earth's rotation?
-
Yup, because You Never Know(tm) when Al-Qaeda might use their "Earth zapper" to stop the work day...
-
If people weren't so damn fat and kept slowing the earth down, we wouldn't need any of this.

The Prophet will read you the future now. Just to calm you simple people...
Nothing will change... The speed at wich we all are going downhill cannot be altered by a mere second. The Goober shall continiue to fix other peoples grammatic eroors. The Raa will continiue to vuw fishes. The Mr' Fury will continiue to spend incredible amounts of space here by posting one line messages which his enermous picture and credentials will expand so the space they cover quadruples. The Kosh continiues to be the voice of reason. And the nuclear1 is still to be locked with the WMCoolmon in to his secret underwater base, for all eternity.
There is more countless secrets I could tell you, but now I feel hungry.

Don't worry, Cosmic AC will save the day! In several trillion years!

Either that, or you could build a nice sloped ramp on the eastern side of your house that connects smoothly with your roof - assuming you have a sloped roof, that is. And remember to keep the connection between ramp and roof ASAP (as smooth as possible), since protrusions of more than 2mm may have adverse effects on the planetary rotational velocity.

I agree with that. :D

I always spend New Years indoors, inho theres nothing worse than standing around in a crowd of people you don't know trying to remember the second verse to Auld Lang Syne (sp?) and pretending to happy because it's tomorrow, but then, I'm cynical ;)
People have been setting off Fireworks here since 6pm. A little more emphasis on reading a sodding clock may have to be introduced to our educational system :/
