I don't know it this is the correct area to post this.... if not then i am truly sorry.
In any case, I have been working with FRED2 (just started), but I never get farther than placing one new ship in the area. Why? Because after I place a ship (for example, the SSJ Gigas), it gets "permanently selected". Whenever I click in empty space to "unselect" it, nothing happens, and I am unable to place anything more. Anyone else ever have this problem?
I have tried using all the different selecting and marking tools in the program to deselect it by the way.

FRED questions should go in the campaign forum but it's not a huge mistake to put it here. It will probably get moved over sooner or later anyway.
The problem is an odd one. Not something I've heard of before. What version of FRED are you running. Have you patched to v1.2? Are you using FS2_Open?
I presume you're FREDding an Inferno based mission based on your use of the Gigas. Which version?

You know i figured out what happened...
It was an Inferno-based mission. I put the SSJ Gigas in, I just didn't have any idea how absolutely huge it was. It was permantently selected because when I thought I was clicking empty space I was actually clicking on the Gigas (ship model viewing was turned off). I feel really stupid now that I know what was going on.

I should have gotten that after doing virtually the same thing with the Sathanas only hours earlier :rolleyes:
Admittedly I was running in non-HTL mode (with the models turned off) for reasons that aren't important and I thought that was the reason for my problem.
