I've been lurking the HLP forums for quite a while a now and I’ve noticed a fair few of the posters have a good technical knowledge so i hope i can get a good answer here. The problem is I’m trying to extract the music files from the PS2 version of Outlaw Golf 2. As far as i can tell there are in a PAK file. I've tried the Quake and Painkiller PAK extractor programs and they won't work, I’m hoping someone here knows how to extract them from the PS2 disc to the hard drive in a format that can be read by most music players for the PC. Thanks in advance for any help i receive. While I’m posting a big thumbs up to the Source Code Project team for doing an outstanding job. Happy New Year to all, Thunder Hammer.

Humm. Being as it's a PS2 game, I think it's unlikely you'll be able to easily extract the files without access to the tools which the PAK fil ewas made with. I'd suggest either just recording them as they play (if you can get them to play with no other sounds), or have a look on p2p sites etc. and see if someone else has managed it. Otherwise, you might look for specialised game music forums and suchlike - people there will likely know if such a thing is possible, and where to get the tools, or how best to rip the tracks.
Good luck! :)
