Heya

Since noone answered to my question in the other Thread, I try here :)

When I try to load the 5th mission of Revenge, I get this

Error: Invalid ship class name.

What does that mean? How can I fix it?

That's a table error. There's no ship class called the Marco Polo in the game. There should be one though judging from the ships.tbl.

Where have you installed the game and what version of FS2 are you running?

I installed the game as the readme told me to. Putting the mission files in the data/missions folder and the modified root_fs2.vp into the main folder (after making a backup of the original root_fs2.vp)

I use it with FS2 retail, since it doesn't work yet with SCP (because of the modified root_fs2.vp, I tried that already)

Do you have any other mods installed? Cause having either the mediaVPs, FS1Port or a whole host of other mods would cause you problems.

Do a search for *.vp and *.tbl and tell me what you find.

There's your problem. Renegade Ressurgence's tables are overriding the ones for Revenge. Even if you remove RR, Homesick will do the same most likely. Remove them both.

Last question. Can I include other mods like the improved Herc II or will that cause those glitches too?

i found out that the GTVA Marco Polo is actually the GTVA Colossus. :wtf:

that just ain't right.

hi,
yeah the marco polo is the colossus, but i think the author of the mod have modificate the specifications of the colossus and the weapons.

but there are 3 oder 4 different versions of the ships durring the campain.

Well, he couldn't name that ship Colossus, since the Collossus got destroyed during the original campaign

but most campaigns don't even follow FS2's storyline. :p

hi,
yeah i know that the marco polo isnt the colossus, i had think that post is over the modell himself, not over the storyline.

the marco polo is a improve colossos with a shieldsystem, a beamweapon disable system, more firepower, nano-tech selfrepair, a greater hangar, for 10 aeolus corvetts and miners, and a little manufacturing for warheads, weapons and figthers.
