i created a spreadsheet so as to balence the weapons in nukemod based on a basline created by compairing [v] weapons (i compaired the subach hl7, the proms, and the kayser and noticed about a 15% improvement in performance increase betwean the 3 guns). anyway it all worked out fine up till i got to the shotgun weapons. i have 2, an entry level particle canon, and a midlevel ballistic shotgun, both use the $shots variable as well as $fof. now does the damages specified for the weapon apply to each shot of the weapon or is the damage devided between them?

Each shot I beleive.

thats what i thought. funny, i add balence to my mod, now all my weapons suck :D

Yeah, unless you have an uber-munchkin specialized weapon you'll always here complaints. (i.e. anti-capship Plasma Cannon compared to the NPW-2)
But yeah the shotgun effect is awesome, makes for a great Shivan 'energy flak.' (I've always been a little irked that the Shivans all of the sudden had flak guns in FS2. Beams on smaller ships, fine, but flak should be GTVA...) Such a shame that it won't be used in BWO. :p

they certainly make bomb intercept alot easyer :D
