Hey guys... I was just watching Firefly and thought of a neat optional effect that might be fun to put in...
..."proximity" shaking if you pass by another ship too quickly. It may not be realistic - or maybe it might as the thrust of your own ship reflecting off a nearby object might cause a little turbulence/unreliable directional control.
The theory being similar to if you pass by the engines of any ship of cruiser size upwards... you get engine wash and the ship gets buffeted.
So do the same thing here. If you pass by another object (even a fighter) within a range of say... 10m at a speed upwards of 10 you start to experience buffeting. Any slower / further away and nothing happens.
It's not an essential or important addition by any means - just thought I'd throw it out.

sounds like fun to me
i'll put a second on that

I'd like that; maybe tie it into the logic for playing the 'whoosh' style flyby sound?
NB: I can't remember, is there a way to tie in the shudder effect (i.e. that you get with maxims, etc) to be caused by an SEXP event?
