Title: FS Port Problems.
Post by: urial on January 13, 2006, 06:29:05 pm
Not sure if I am in the right are however I downloaded FS2 from Freespace Zone and got the FS port however every time I try to run the Great war Campain It sets me with a Ulyssis unarmed.    Anyone now the issue ?    I have the files in the Freespace/data folder.   I tried creating a new Pilot and still nothing.

The correct place for the FS Port files, when running retail FS2, is not Freespace2/data but simply in the Freespace2 directory itself (assuming your package consists of one or more files ending with the .vp extension).  If you're using FSOpen, then you can set things up in a more elaborate fashion so that it does not conflict with retail FS2 data, but that's a topic for later.

Is this in the wrong section. Maby a Moderator could move the topic to the FS Port forum where it would be better answered.

This seems more of a common problem than a specifically-Port issue, so it works just fine here, IMO.
