Well, that seems... pointless...
And to think, I entered this thread thinking I was going to read about luminescant police officers... now that would have been interesting.

well that would maybe help farmers to find their pigs if they got lost:p

Or when the bulb in the Fridge goes, you'll stil be able to find the Bacon?
-
wee hee! ****ing with Nature for pointless gain!

They should make people eat them and see what happens.

The researchers hope the pigs will boost the island's stem cell research, as well as helping with the study of human disease.
I'd like to know how glowing pigs are going to do this.

I'd like to know how glowing pigs are going to do this.
They take stem cells from the pigs and inject them into other things. Then, because they're green, it's easier to chart their progress through the host organism.

You don't get to legally '**** with nature for pointless gain'.
Animal testing is one of the most controled areas of experimentation, tha amount of paperwork required just to be able to work on an animal is significant, not to mention the periodical checks from inspectors to ensure that the animals are being well treated.
