I want a pet that glows in the dark!

Well, that seems... pointless...

And to think, I entered this thread thinking I was going to read about luminescant police officers... now that would have been interesting.

I'd like to know how glowing pigs are going to do this.
They take stem cells from the pigs and inject them into other things. Then, because they're green, it's easier to chart their progress through the host organism.

You don't get to legally '**** with nature for pointless gain'.
Animal testing is one of the most controled areas of experimentation, tha amount of paperwork required just to be able to work on an animal is significant, not to mention the periodical checks from inspectors to ensure that the animals are being well treated.
