Does it have atmosphere? it'd look better with atmosphere...

Looks like polar ice. Besides, that was talking about looks, anyway - let's find that realism vs. arty-farty topic again, I forget how it ended...

I think it ended in a tie - people want pretty stuff but acurate where possible.

And atmosphere is used around here because without it planets look kinda bad (if you don't get the lighting right).

No clouds, not much moisture, few chemicals... just oxygen, nitrogen, etc. Stuff you can live on.

My next planet's gonna have all that stuff in it, but I haven't done all the fun closeups on this one yet, so...  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
