I would like a weapon flag that makes it so that the usual fire/smoke effect at the point where the weapon impacts is not drawn. This is supposed to be for a missile that doesn't do conventional damage, like the TAGs. (although if it's going to be difficult to add in then don't bother, as it's a really minor thing)

Is this different from the effect specified in $Impact Effect:?

Actually that might be what I need; what does $Impact Effect do and is it different from $Impact Explosion?
This doesn't concern the explosion itself, but rather the smoke-like effect that shows up a second or two after the weapon hits.

I think he's talking about the particle spew that lingers afterwards where a ship's been hit.
