Kind of appropriate, I thought, given that Rome had screenshots posted here before it was due - with much the same effect as I expect here......

Images don't work here unless I view the links manually. It looks awesome, and I always wished that they'd use the Rome engine for the Medieval era instead - looks like we'll finally have it in a couple of years. I hope they're not spending too much time upgrading the graphics as opposed to adding new features though.

Another reason for me to get off my arse, get a job, earn some money, and finally upgrade my three-year-old rig, as I doubt this'll run on a GeForce4 Ti4200... :sigh:

What I'm wondering is what they're going to do with naval warfare. Cause we were promised they would leave it poor in R:TW and follow ons until they could do a proper job on it.

Well, supposedly this one will have the Americas in it.

I still maintain that nothing will ever beat Monkey Island 3 for sea battles.

Anyone expecting something original or ground breaking from Creative Assembly? Nope? Didn't think so.

I couldn't give a monkeys about origanlity if it's fun and has stupidly huge levels of carnage.

(might as well drag out an old chestnut)

I'd be so terribly happy if that wasn't a Photoshop.

Yes, Rome:TW would be so much better with Star Destroyers.

Rome Total War was great. Only problem is by the time you conquer the entire world, all 104 territories, you are so fed up with the game you dont want to touch it anymore.

I loved Rome: TW, so I'll prolly love this one even more :D

Especially if you can have those knights with two-handers :D

Rome was probably the last game I've played where I just sat slack-jawed at the screen.... and then smiled as an immense army stomped over a Gaulish village...
