Hello,
I seek help for a new campaign (Project: Cerberus) that i am planning: Modellers, FREDers (especially), and any other help will be greatly appreciated. Cerberus will be partially voice acted (or fully, if enough volunteers are found), with some new music composed by me. Tentatively, it is set 2 years after the events at FS2. Storywise? Well, i don't really want to say :p. See below for a few tidbits:
"Thank you, esteemed peers. Whilst I cannot argue with the necessity of the GTI, the failed coup d'etat last year clearly shows that the GTI can no longer be trusted with the independence they currently have. Though some may argue that this rogue GTI element was an anomaly, how was this anomaly not detected sooner? How did we miss the construction of the Hades, a superdestroyer of unprecedented size? What other projects have the GTI undertaken that we have no idea about?
The GTI watches the universe for us, but who watches the watchers? ..."
Admiral William Kane - Partial transcript from GTVA Security council, 1st session 2337 - 2337.A10001.7162/Omega
"...as per the core directive, Lt. John Hoyer and I successfully defected into the Empyrean Order (EO) by communicating with an EO transport en route from Altair to Ross 128. We were given the coordinates of the "Selva Oscura", one of the many fixed installations currently controlled by the EO, in Altair (exact coordinates along with all other fixed installations mentioned in this report may be found in Appendix C). Upon arrival, we were greeted with a prerecorded message from Virgil, the enigmatic leader of EO. The message congratulated us for making the correct decision, and told us to "rejoice, as salvation is nigh".
Judging by what I saw, most members of the EO took that message literally: there was something odd, almost euphoric in the state of people here, and they exhibited a near-fanatical devotion towards Virgil, even though apparently noone has seen the face of Virgil or heard an undistorted voice. Later, i found trace amounts of Dopamine and other mood elevators near a major ventilation shaft in the station, indicating that perhaps this euphoric state was bought about by artifical means.
Following the prerecorded message, our 'initiation' into the fold began, which consisted of approximately three weeks of indoctrination and mental conditioning. The GAMC pills which we took with us helped me significantly in resisting these techniques, but their strength should be evident by the subsequent situation with Hoyer..."

i'll post a .wav clip as well, either tonight or tomorrow. I know its not much info to go on, but i'd like to make this campaign into a fully immersive story, and revealing more than tidbits will ruin it, i think :).

Looks good so far. Second part feels a lot like Heart of Darkness, which I like. If you need story editors or a tester, I'm available. However, be wary--I nitpick.
I do have one question though: are you familiar with FRED yourself? I ask because it only seems best that the FRED types run the campaign. If you're not, I may be able to do a couple of things to get you started. :)

I always thought Heart of Darkness was a ripe 'script' for a campaign, myself.

Thanks for your offer, its much appreciated. (ETA: i forgot to say welcome aboard!)
Do you mean Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad, or the game? (i havent played the game).
Nope, i'm not very experienced with FRED. I have ideas for the storyline and missions, but i'll need to learn more about FRED. If any experienced FREDers are interested, i'll be happy to let them run the campaign.
EDIT: audio file removed as it had outdated info.

I was referring to the book. I'm actually currently working on a campaign that uses a similar story, so I guess great minds think alike.
If you do need a FREDer, I would be glad to help out. If you want to get a feel for my FRED style, check out this campaign (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,36062.0.html).
