I've recently download all 6 of the latest media vps (3.6.8) and when I put them in my FreeSpace directory, the game crashes instantly, everytime giving and error message that a file is missing from a one of the vps or something(listed below). I've tried running the game with the 3.6.7 builds (optimized and standard) as well as the Jan. 16(?) builds, which give me a "failed to read flag file message"(though this may be atributed to a bad download). I'd like to get this fixed soon so I can test some stuff I am currently working on. Is there anything I can do?
here are the error messages:
Error: mv_music-mus.tbm(10):

3.6.8 media VPs don't work with 3.6.7, as there has been syntax changes in the tables (modular tables, specifically). The current builds have issues of their own, but should work more or less correctly with the media VPs. The failed to read flag file error is something else entirely (I'm wanting to say OpenAL is needed or something, but I can't remember offhand).

"Failed to read flag file" is a symptom of not having OpenAL 1.1 installed.

OpenAL fixed it an everything is fixed. Thanks

Failed to read the flag file or the other error reports?
