Title: An uncommon topic: Noob Questions

I downloaded FS2 from HOTU several years ago, and only recently downloaded it again.

I've been trying to mod it, however I came across some very confusing terms.

I figured most of them out, but I would like to know what CVS is, since I've been looking at the mediavp, but the topic says I need the latest CVS.
