Title: MUST a mission end with warp-out?
Post by: Zinc Avenger on February 02, 2006, 06:55:56 am
Is an Alt-J warpout the only way for the player to end the mission without forfeiting? Or is there a way to, for example, land on a carrier?

Saga has carrier landings to end the missions...but don't ask me how it works...something FREDed.

Like Lars said, yeah, you can land in a fighterbay and end it.

Stick a waypoint in the landing bay. If the players distance to the waypoint drops below a certain number run the end-mission sexp.

You could do a carrier landing or such or, for great cinematic and dramatic justice, you can fade-out and then run end-mission.

No. For a simple example of how examine the mission contained herein: http://www.geocities.com/ngtm1r/Homecoming.zip

You have 3 options for ending a mission.

1) Warp out
2) Red Alert SEXP
3) End-mission SEXP

The third one is only usable in SCP but the others have been there since retail.
