Not very funny in my opinion...but I get the meaning behind this joke.
The news about US attacks on Afghanistan are all over the papers, TV and radio.

Lancers are really pathetic. Oh sure, they look nice, but I'd much rather have a B-52 Stratofortress under my butt when I blow something to hell. If I remember right, the military expects to use B-52's until about 2025 or so, making them some 75 years old when they retire them finally. Lancers will be lucky to make it to the retirement party.

I know there is a method, but all I see is madness.

Yeah, the B1 has about the same loadout, flies twice as fast and is half stealth. Very pathetic indeed.
-
Last I heard the Lancer could carry thirty percent more payload with a plane two-thirds the size, twice as fast while attracting half the attention...
[SARCASM] Yup, that's a rotten plane alright [/SARCASM]
The Lancer had a loooooooonnnng developement time because of problems with the swing-wing hinge point. Now that that's been taken care of it should be a great plane.
If you want to discuss HUGE wastes of taxpayer ca$h it's the B-2. Sure it's stealth but it carries less that one-third the payload of a B-52, plus it's slower than a snail-race in december. This means that even though it's harder to detect the enemy has three times the amount of time to do so.

Did I mention that each Evil Kitten is fitted with a personal evil magnetic dispersal shield rendering them invulnerable except during subspace jumps?
-
Fine. We'll just have to drop a nuke on your kitten durinig subspace jumps and then burn jets out of there then.
