http://www.songtapper.com/s/tappingmain.bin
It guesses a song from you tapping out the rythm on the space bar. Amazingly, it actually got 'The Final Countdown' from about 10 taps.
-
Well it didn't know Would You Love a Monsterman by Lordi... :p
-
Man, it's a realy slow site...
-
didn't know Wait for an Answer by Blind Guardian...it is stupid

Hah, did Coldplay's Hardest Part, got Yellow and Clocks
It managed to do Linkin Park's Crawling though on the first try.
-
It got both Eye of the Tiger and The Starwars opening theme.
Pretty impressive.
-
It thought "somebody to love" by Queen was Zelda. :wtf:
-
Hmm, it got London Calling on the first try.
-
It keeps on confusing different Zepellin songs with Stairway to Heaven :wtf:
-
it couldnt guess tyrants by immortal, its a piece of **** :D
-
Couldn't get Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions.
-
Thats pretty goddmaned cool. It got Oasis - Rock n'Roll Star and Weezer - Buddy Holly.
I thought it could only get songs with lyrics? Star Wars theme? Eh, well if it works it works; all the better.
-
it probibly works by calculating the bpm of your key tapping and then finds a song with a similar beat pattern. however when you listin to music with bpms in excess of 1000 it tends to not work because the keyboard refresh cycle isnt that fast.
-
Then you also have the fact that that the song isn't in the library. I don't think its too kvlt to be submitting Immortal to a type of site like this. Also it may be looking for the vocal melody, which is non-existant in most black metal songs.

i dont play too much into the concept of kvlt, i tend to think of it as something that posers call themselves (fans anyway, not the bands themselves). black metal by its very nature unpopular. its supposed to be. kvlt isnt really something you can claim anyway, so if a band calls themselves kvlt, its really just posing. if theyre really kvlt theyl let the music say it. myself im more or less into the old skool black metal and troo black metal as of late. troo requires that the band live the music. which usually requires a murder or a church burning or two. i justlisten to whats good. weather the sound is clean or raw doesnt really matter to me. and yes vocal melody is practically nil but the riffing style is to kill for.

Edit: Hahahaha, I tried tapping KMFDM's Juke Joint Jezebel and got Louis Armstrong's "A Kiss To Build A Dream On".

With lots ov Love,
BILLY THE LOVERMAN

bpms in ecxess of 1000!?!?!?!?!
wtf? does such a thing exist?
-
Hardcore death metal maybe?
-
if you follow the conventional 4/4 rhythm on drums going bass-snare-bass-snare of each being a single beat, then yes. blastbeats 4tw, if they're done right. Done wrong, they sound like ****.
-
Hmmmm Well, it's really not 1000 bpm, it's about 120bpm but the drum is hitting on Semiquavers (1/16th beat), giving you an effective 1800ish drumbeats a minute. Doing it for too long kills the drummer, but it's not actually an accurate description, bloody impressive to hear though ;)
-
im pretty sure hellhammer can pull off such a bpm, at least on some of his mayhem stuff. 1349's drummer does it for sure.

Have you seen Mayhem live? Ok, you have In the Lies Where Upon You Lay but you're not supposed to be able to play that three times as fast as the recording asfagsfhsagasdsasafgh
That, my friend, is truly awesome.

$20 if anyone can tap out Beethoven's 9th
i tapped that out and got Pour Elise.
-
...it's Fur Elise. It's German...

with enough math, you can be pumping the same number of "notes" per second even if the tempo of the song is 20bpm.
and raa, its Für Elise :)
-
It is. But I'm teh lazy and hate the character map.

Yup, it's like the Freespace Theme, it never ever changes speed, only difference between the beginning and the end is that at the start they are playing in Crotchets, Minims and Semibrieves, (1,2 and 4 beats) and by the final combat scene it has been stepped up to Semi and Demi Quavers (1/2 - 1/4 Beat) which means the notes are coming 2-4 times as quickly.
For it to be a true 1000bpm, you would have to be able to play Semi and Demi quavers between each beat, thus making something between 4-8000 notes per minute, which is impossible, however if you do it at 250bpm, and play using DemiQuavers, it becomes a lot more likely.
Look at it this way, even Cubase only allows an upper limit of about 300bpm, because it can't process the Audio any faster than that.

It got The Alphabet Song... :nervous:

Not for me. It said I was tapping Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. :sigh:

-
Whooooosh :p

While this is cool, I now hate you for posting it because I tried to tap along some Dragonforce and Machinae Supremacy songs and now everybody's looking at me funny... (Look, it said you should sing along in the bloody instructions okay?! :nervous: )

Actually, it's only the same tune for the first part. "AB, CD, EFG (Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star), HI, JK, LMNOP (How I Wonder What You Are ['OP' equivalent is missing])". If you tap past that part, it should be able to tell the difference.
