i got the new TBP 3.3 with the patch, using fs2_open_Red_2006-01-09_r that came with it, i have noticed that all pulse weapons just fire in a straight line, were they always like that? because i thought that they could fire any direction within the field of view for the turret firing the weapon?

As far as I remember the Series, no. The Pulse Guns usually fire straight, but the Turrets themselves can turn into many directions and thus the guns. If they could fire in any direction, there wouldn't be any use for turrets, hm?

Any particular ship you noticed this on?

I thought that build was supposed to have working turrets?

That is a current known problem, I think it only occurs on newer builds

all of them, well turrets that don't move, ie. midwinter and Omega's forward cannons. the Omega's Phalanx turrets work fine but i think that is because they a moveable. i went back and used 3.6.7 build and and pulse weapons work normally, example a Drakh cruiser is being chased be an omega, its Y posistion is 0, now the drakhs Y posistion is -100 and forward pulse cannons fired down to it on the 3.6.7 build but on newer ones it just fires in a straight line.

Interesting... I have a theory, but I need to confirm something first. If my theory is correct, its an SCP bug... and one that I thought was simply the way things were.
