I recently downloaded the 3.6.8 vp's. How do I implement them into my FS2open? I did what the readme told me to do, delting all vp's and copying the new ones into the FS2 folder. Now I can't start the game anymore, I get 4 debugmessages that certain files aren't available and I might not be starting the launcher from the FS2 folder.
Any Ideas?
PS. I deleted the whole folder so I can't post the debug messages.
PPS. Do I need a new launcher to use them?

You can't use the 3.8.6 betas with 3.6.7. You need to be using a build from the the Recent Builds forum that was posted after 29/12/05 or they simply won't work.

I downloaded the build of February '06. I got two exe files, one for run and one for debug. But I got the errors with them, that's why I asking about a newer launcer or else :)

by 'all' vp's, you mean all the old media.vp files only right?

Yes. The root_fs2.vp stayed where it was ^^

And the other retail vps?

There are other vp files? The only ones that were (in a subfolder) were the ones from FS port

- sparky_fs2.vp and stu_fs2.vp should also be there (and possibly sparky_hi_fs2.vp).
And the newest launcher is highly recommended.

You mean version 5.3 of the launcher?

I have 5.3. Ok, then I screwed up by deleting the sparky files :jaw:

I have got in fs2 root directory
- root_fs2.vp
- smarty_fs2.vp
- sparky_fs2.vp
- sparky_hi_fs2.vp
- stu_fs2.vp
- tango1_fs2.vp
- tango2_fs2.vp
- tango3_fs2.vp
- warble_fs2.vp

Reinstall FS2, then install the media.vp's... Don't delete anything...
