Title: Launching FS1

'ave been trying to play FS1 but when I click play in the launcher it simply does nowt. Tried compatabilty mode with no success. Any suggestions ? Could try FSPort but it's not the same without the music, sounds, mega low res graphics etc.

Windows XP
P4 2.0ghz
1ghz SDRam
G440 MX
F*ck knows what motherboard.

You did actually use compatibility mode on the FS.exe file and not the freespace.exe one? You did then run the FS.exe file directly instead of using the launcher?

did you update fs1? it only works for me if it's patched.....

tried both, in varying combinations.

Didn't even know there was a patch, though I've got the FS Battlepack so if there is a patch I suppose I should have it.

You should be able to patch it to 1.06. Silent threat bumps it back down to 1.04 when installed.
